Standing With Families Through Crisis: Food Assistance and Relief
HEART started in April 2021 as a response to hunger after COVID-19. One of our first projects delivered emergency food relief to affected and vulnerable families in Teknaf.
Every year since, we have provided food assistance during Ramadan and Eid to needy families in Cox's Bazar, and our volunteers have waded through floodwater to bring relief to families cut off by heavy rain.
Why it matters
A food pack in a crisis does more than fill a plate: it keeps children in school, prevents families from selling their few assets and gives people the strength to recover.
