Promoting the National Volunteer Policy and Global Volunteer Standards
On 12 March 2026, civil society actors and community leaders gathered at Hotel Green Nature Resort & Suites in Cox's Bazar for an event on the National Volunteer Policy and the Global Volunteer Standards (GVS), organised by VSO Bangladesh and co-organised by JYDA Bangladesh.
Speaking for HEART, Director Moin Uddin Rakib called for closer cooperation among youth-led organisations, arguing that unified partnerships multiply impact in the humanitarian sector.
Collective action for resilience
He stressed that challenges such as climate resilience and community empowerment can only be tackled together, and that aligning local work with global volunteer standards helps organisations in Cox's Bazar build stronger, more sustainable programs.
